Bouquets

Perhaps the most famous Czech collection of ballads of the 19th century is so timeless that it has been appealing to readers for an incredible 150 years. Verses full of mystery, mysticism and instruction go to the depths of the Czech soul. Their topicality is further underlined by the delicate and sensitive illustrations of the contemporary Czech painter and graphic artist Míla Fürstová, whose attention to detail and delicate poetics of her works perfectly connect her to the thought stream of Karel Jaromír Erben. In this work, two artistic streams become one, a single Flower.
