Everyone has matches at home. And every Czech knows that the most famous producer of matches in our country was SOLO Sušice. You can now wear the advertising poster for the world-famous match factory, where matches have been produced for over 100 years, on your T-shirt. Matches were produced in Sušice since 1839, but SOLO factories were established in 1903 as a joint stock company uniting several match manufacturers not only in Sušice, but also in Gratz or Linz. The company first produced matches in wooden boxes and later in paper boxes as we know them today. In 2008, the production of matches moved to India and the match factory in Sušice ceased operations. However, it is still a concept of Czech business today.
