The legendary Šumperák - for some a symbol of normalisation, for others a modern building with its own charm. Only one thing is certain, the Šumperák is and will always be a part of Czech culture and history. As a typical Czech phenomenon, you can now wear it on your T-shirt.
But how did the famous "family house type V" come into being?
The one-storey house with a ground floor with technical rooms and the first living floor was not designed by any leading Czech architect, it is the work of a trained mason and designer Josef Vaňek. The iconic house got its name after one of its first owners - the director of the hospital in Šumperk.
What is behind the success of Šumperk? Simply - its simplicity. The Šumperák was supposed to be ideal for young families building a house on their own, it was supposed to be cheap and functional. The fact that its appearance, with its loggia, pitched roof and circular openings, did not fit in with traditional village houses was beside the point. And for some people, it might actually be an advantage. Šumperák looked different from other houses of the time, which is why people were fascinated by it. One could get the plans for the house directly from the author Josef Vaněk for about 840 crowns, or simply copy them from friends. So there are not only about 5,000 Šumperk houses officially in the Czech Republic, unofficially it could be as many as 20,000, people built them between 1966 and 1986 and not all of them are mapped. However, you can also find an unmissable house in Slovakia, Poland and even Luxembourg. Gradually, however, the chumperies are changing - people are reconstructing, rebuilding and changing them in their own image, but you can still usually recognize them at first glance.
The author of the T-shirt's motif is Jan Berka from Sutnarka, the Faculty of Design and Art of Ladislav Sutnar University of West Bohemia.

Originalni a hezky zpracovany motiv venkovskeho brutalistickeho domu-sumperaku
Jinak kvalitně i vizuálně OK.
Skvělé a stylové!
