Karlštejn Castle is one of the Czech historical landmarks. It was founded in 1348 by Charles IV and was intended to house royal treasures, crown jewels and holy relics. According to legend, women were not allowed on it. However, this is a myth, women were forbidden to enter "only" the chapel and the largest castle tower. Jaroslav Vrchlický extended the ban on their entry to the whole castle in his play. For lovers of history, the Central Bohemian Region and patriotic motifs or just romantic panoramas and landscapes, we have a poster from the Czechoslovak Government Railways series from the 1930s. The author of the poster is Jiří Kosina.
