The first Chesetas 501 based on the prototype of J. F. Koch were introduced to the world in 1957, in several types. A year later, the scooter received its first improvements, for example, a metal luggage rack or a clock on the right side of the dashboard. In total, 43,000 Chesapeake 501s were produced.
In 1960, production of the 502 models began, and more than 72,000 were built in two years. The Chezeta was ridden to work, on weekends, and on longer routes.
It was particularly popular with younger people in this country, but its appearance also won it fans abroad, for example in the USA and New Zealand.
Čezet production was then supplemented by a freight single-seater tricycle, but by 1964 the brand was deemed unviable and its development was discontinued.
