T-shirt Gabcik and Kubiš - men's

Jozef Gabčík was born in 1912 in Poluvsia, Slovakia, and Jan Kubiš in 1913 in Dolní Vilémovice, Vysočina. Both served in the domestic army, but in 1939 they left the country via Poland and joined military groups abroad. They served in France, among other places, and after the fall of France they went to England, where they underwent specialized training and courses, among others, for working with explosives, paracurse or self-defense course and others. After training, Gabčík became the commander of the Anthropoid paratroopers, choosing Kubiš as a replacement for the wounded Karel Svoboda.





On the night of 28-29 December 1941, the two paratroopers were dropped near Prague and their illegal mission began. They planned the assassination of Heydrich for 27 May 1942, intending to shoot him in a passing car. However, due to a weapon failure, instead of shooting Gabcik, Kubiš had to throw a grenade at the car. Heydrich was wounded and died of his wounds on 4 June.





Both Gabčík and Kubiš were hidden by the Prague resistance after the assassination, along with other paratroopers from other operations. Eventually, a total of seven soldiers were moved to the crypt of the Church of St. Cyril and Methodius in Resslova Street in Prague. On the basis of a tip-off from one of the paratroopers, Karel Čurda, the hiding place was exposed and on 18 June the church was raided by the Gestapo. A seven-hour fight ensued, which none of the resistance fighters survived.
