Josef Sudek, together with designer Ladislav Sutnar and other personalities of the First Republic art scene, were behind the visual style of both Družstevní práce and Krásná jizby. In addition to the shop, it was also a housing counselling centre or an exhibition space. In 1932, Sudek himself exhibited here for the first time, as did Sutnar two years later.
