In the 1950s, the Čezeta, a Czechoslovak scooter with an unmistakable bold design reminiscent of a spaceship, saw the light of day. Not only for all lovers of motoring and nostalgia, there is a motif with an advertising photograph of this brand from 1960 , its author is Fred Kramer.
The first Chesetas 501 based on the prototype of J. F. Koch were introduced to the world in 1957, in several types. A year later, the scooter received its first improvements, for example, a metal luggage rack or a clock on the right side of the dashboard. In total, 43,000 Chesapeake 501s were produced.
In 1960, production of the 502 began, and more than 72,000 were built in two years. The Chesetah was used for work, weekends, and longer routes. It was particularly popular with younger people in this country, but its appearance also won it fans abroad, for example in the USA and New Zealand.
The production of Čezet was then supplemented by a cargo single-seater tricycle, but in 1964 the brand was already marked as unviable and its development was terminated.
